Previously, Hindmarch was an investment banking analyst at Digital Capital Advisors. He has also had several previous roles, some of which include working as a management consulting intern at Acquis Consulting Group, as an equity research intern at Monarch Capital Group, as a global wealth management advisory intern at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and as an asset management intern at Stabilis Capital Management.

Invictus Property Advisors Comments on Amazon HQ2

All may not be well with the Amazon HQ2 deal: Jeff Bezos, the undisputed richest man in the world, may have finally met his match in a true David and Goliath scenario. If newly appointed Public Authorities Control Board Senator Michael Gianaris takes the bold step of vetoing the Amazon plan, you can expect all hell to break loose. Not only will state and local officials scream foul, but developers, property owners and retailers expecting the gold rush will as well. And if it truly falls apart, sell-side brokers will be working frantically helping investors and developers unwind recent acquisitions at what will now be inflated pricing levels. Ultimately though, reversing the HQ2 Amazon plan would be political suicide and unlikely to happen…after all, putting the cat back in the bag is much more challenging than letting it out.

Invictus Comments on the 2019 Upcoming Sale of the Chrysler Building

Andrew Levine, co-founder of New York-based Invictus Property Advisors, said he would be surprised if the Chrysler Building sold for anything less than $1.5 billion. "While it is likely that the famed 1930s art deco tower has undergone major capital improvements since a 90 percent stake was sold to the Abu Dhabi government in 2008 for $800 million, buyers will likely underwrite for deferred maintenance costs. Even in this softening market, the iconic property has value amongst buyers across the world," he said, adding that prospective buyers could include major REITs, sovereign wealth funds, real estate private equity funds and well-capitalized family offices.

The garage, which was sold in an off-market transaction, was built in the early 1900s, and got its nickname, the Carriage House, from two bas-relief medallions of horses on the facade above either side of the entrance.
